Our blockprints have a long history, beginning in the 1960s and 70s when Mildred Nungester Wolfe carved the original blocks.  The blockprints we have available for purchase today are hand-printed from Mildred's blocks by our master printmaker, Wendy Eddleman.  Wendy worked extensively with Mildred during the 1990s, pulling various editions under Mildred's supervision.  Prints pulled under Mildred's tutelage are signed by the artist herself, while prints pulled after Mildred's passing are signed "After Mildred Nungester Wolfe" by her daughter, Elizabeth.  All of the prints available on this site are signed "After Mildred" unless otherwise specified.

Because our blockprints are printed by hand each one is unique.  They are printed with oil-based printing ink on several varieties of fine Japanese printing paper.  All of our matting and mounting is done with archival quality acid-free mats, backing materials, and adhesives.  Our frames are custom made from wooden materials and all pieces printed on paper come glassed.  All listed dimensions are the width and height of the entire framed piece from outer edge to outer edge.
